Privacy Policy — PilotKit

PilotKit (App ID: com.goonobu.pilotkit, "the App") respects your privacy. This policy explains how the App handles information.

1. Data Collection

The App does not collect any personal information.

• The App does not perform analytics, tracking, or profiling.
• There is no account, sign-in, or user identifier of any kind.
• The App does not use any analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies.

2. How Data Is Stored

Aircraft profiles, checklists, bookmarks, and notes you create are stored only on your device, in the App's local storage area. The bundled regulation and AIM text is stored as part of the App itself. Nothing is uploaded to or stored on an external server.

3. Network Access — "Update from eCFR"

PilotKit is fully usable offline. The one exception: when you tap "Update from eCFR" on a FAR part, your device connects directly to the U.S. government's public eCFR API (ecfr.gov) to download the current regulation text for that part.

• This request only happens when you explicitly tap the button.
• The request sends only what's needed to fetch the requested part of the regulations (e.g., the title and part number) — no personal information, device identifier, or account data is included.
• The response (regulation text) is stored locally on your device, replacing the bundled copy for that part.
• This connection is governed by the eCFR system's own terms as a public U.S. government service; PilotKit does not add any tracking to this request.

No other feature of the App makes any network connection.

4. Purchase

PilotKit is a one-time paid app, purchased directly through the App Store. Payment is processed entirely by Apple; the developer does not receive, store, or have access to your payment information or Apple ID. The App contains no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.

5. Sharing with Third Parties

The App does not collect personal information, so there is nothing to share with third parties beyond the eCFR request described above, which itself carries no personal information.

6. Advertising and Analytics

The App contains no advertising, no ad SDKs, no analytics tools, and does not display an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.

7. Data Deletion

All of your data is removed when you delete (uninstall) the App from your device.

8. Security

Your data is stored on your device using standard iOS file protection. The eCFR update request uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

9. Children

The App is not directed to anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 — and in practice, the App collects no personal information from anyone.
