- Unique tag & seal referencesIdentification tag and container seal values are checked with uniqueness rules against local cases.
- Stage eventsEach stage is recorded as an event, so staff can review which steps were completed, when, and with which identifiers.
- Fixed case certificateA snapshot of the case record summarizing identifiers and milestones staff entered.
- Encrypted backupCreate a protected copy of facility records, with the passphrase kept separate from the file.

There is no facial recognition, image recognition, DNA matching, microchip verification, or biometric confirmation. The app records identifiers staff have already checked; it cannot independently prove identity or eliminate human error. The certificate is an internal facility record, not a legal, veterinary, or regulatory certification.
About encrypted backup
Cremation Case Log lets a facility create an encrypted backup of its case records. Store the
backup file according to the facility's privacy and retention procedures, keep the passphrase
separate from the file, and limit access to authorized staff. Encryption does not replace a
device passcode and controlled access to the device itself.
