What Dental Waterline Log does
- Test, treat, retest — linked, not automatedLog a treatment (product name, lot, interval, who performed it) and a test result (in-office kit or external lab, sample point, sampled and reported dates) against each operatory. When a result needs follow-up, you link that test, the treatment that followed, and the retest into one chain yourself.
- Results as they actually come backA single test can include several samples, and each sample's result can be a number, a "below detection limit" flag, an "above range" flag, or free text, covering results like <DL or TNTC that don't fit a plain number.
- Staff sets the statusYour staff marks any open item as follow-up required or closed by staff — there is no other classification and no automatic verdict.
- No patient data, anywhereThe app tracks operatories/equipment, not people. It does not collect any patient information at any point.
- Waterline Maintenance & Testing Log PDFUS Letter PDF listing treatments, test results with kit or lab identifiers, and the remediation chain for any result that needed follow-up, with a footer stating that all values are entered by practice staff.
Dental Waterline Log never classifies a result as safe or unsafe, and never recommends a treatment product or a testing interval — those decisions stay with your practice and, where appropriate, your equipment manufacturer or water-testing lab. It is not a regulated medical device and makes no clinical or safety determination.
Frequently asked questions
- Does the app tell me if a test result is safe or unsafe?
- No. Dental Waterline Log never issues a pass/fail or safe/unsafe verdict on any result. It stores the sample value exactly as entered, and your staff decides and records whether an item is follow-up required or closed.
- Does it recommend a treatment product or testing interval?
- No. The app stores your manufacturer's instructions and intervals exactly as your staff enters them — it never suggests or recommends a product or schedule on its own.
- Is any patient information stored?
- No. Dental Waterline Log tracks operatories and equipment, not patients, and does not collect patient information of any kind.
- Is the test-to-treatment-to-retest chain built automatically?
- No. You link a failing test, its treatment, and the retest yourself. The app does not auto-generate this chain, so the sequence always reflects exactly what your practice did.
